As COVID number’s still continue to fluctuate, we have not relaxed our clinic COVID policies and still get told…

“I thought the pandemic was over!”

Yes, technically we are no longer considered being at pandemic levels. However, knowing the long term effects that COVID has on brain function (as seen regularly in our patients test results), as well as systemically throughout the body, we do our best to keep up with the latest developing COVID news and thought this was worth sharing…

Katherine Kahn, Staff Writer, MedPage Today wrote that in a VA study utilizing electronic health records across 50 states “Al-Aly's group found that in the fall and winter of 2022-2023, COVID was about 60% more deadly than the flu in patients hospitalized for the illnesses” even though, 65% of those hospitalized had received 3 or more COVID Vaccine shots!

The take away-Even if you are keeping up with your COVID boosters, continue to practice using a mask while indoors, washing your hands and avoid large gatherings because further data analyzed from the 2023-2024 COVID season indicated that “COVID mortality is still higher than the flu (by 35%).”
